Sterling Life Solutions Team
Candy
Executive Director
I am a seasoned professional with more than 30 years in the customer service industry. Through the years I have learned a lot about working with others to achieve goals and have developed a strong respect and dedication for clients and customers. I have great passion for organizing and decluttering. Because of this passion, I am thrilled to be a part of a company that is really serving others by helping them manage every aspect of downsizing. I joined Sterling Life Solutions because of their mission to bring back the belief in customer service and to support seniors with their needs.
I enjoy reading books and listening to audio books. I often keep myself entertained by listening to an audio book while I am cleaning and organizing my own home. It is the best of both worlds; I learn through books while achieving the satisfaction that a clean home gives me.
I am a very sociable person who loves to meet new people and learn about their lives and passions. It is important to me to have a positive impact and help make a difference in my community, because of this, I am committed to helping others with the services needed for their home transitions.
“Life only comes around once, so do what make you happy and keeps you smiling.”
Laura, MSW
Director of Business Development
My commitment to problem-solving and my passion for helping others are deeply rooted in my upbringing by my father. Raised in Berks County as a single parent of three daughters, he never fell short of demonstrating consistency and dedication for the communities he served; never missing a day of work, always early and prepared. His positive and upbeat attitude instilled in me a strong work ethic and core values of perseverance, integrity, and compassion. His emphasis on excellence and the importance of "getting the job done right" have greatly influenced my professional approach and career trajectory.
Starting my career as a sales executive working alongside my father, I learned valuable lessons in accountability and quality. His motto of "Make it happen" deeply resonated with me and continues to drive my efforts in all aspects of my work.
Initially, pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, I later chose to change educational paths, later obtaining a master's degree in clinical social work from Millersville University. With over 20 years in customer service and more than 8 years working in social work, I found joy in leading successful advocacy campaigns, facilitating program development initiatives, enhancing community engagement and provided clinical therapy services, all aimed at empowering marginalized communities.
Joining Sterling Senior Life Solutions has provided me with an opportunity to merge my passion for advocating for others with a mission to raise awareness about our tailored services that support senior community members, families, and friends. Recognizing the invaluable contributions of our seniors, I am committed to ensuring the delivery of the highest level of care and support. At Sterling, our dedication to continuous improvement and excellence drives us as we honor and uplift those who have paved the way for us.
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you" - Matthew 17:20

Team Lead
I have a bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University in Psychology. I joined Sterling Life Solutions because of their dedication to helping seniors and their families. It has always been a passion of mine to help others and understand what will make life the most enjoyable. I have had to move a handful of times in my life and understand how stressful it is to pick up everything and make that transition to a new home. Because of this, I expect and want to conquer the challenges of these life transitions for everyone. My work at Sterling allows me to fulfill this passion by building rewarding relationships that are built on trust and compassion. It also allows me to serve and better my community by delivering a stress-free transition.
When I am not spending time helping my community, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, going to the beach, and watching sports. Football is my biggest hobby, as I played in college. This has taught me the love a community can have for one another when we all pay attention and treat each other like family.
I am a true believer in watching out for and understanding one another. “My biggest values in life are my Faith, Family, and Loyalty.”
Karen
Right-Sizing Technician
I am a native of Barbados and made the transition to the United States at the age of 15. My journey into the realm of caregiving commenced during my high school years when I started babysitting after classes. It became evident to me that my life's purpose was to extend care to individuals of all ages.
I pursued my education at the Sanford Brown Institute in Trevose, PA, and successfully obtained a certificate as a medical assistant. Currently employed as a Right-Sizing Technician at Sterling, I play a crucial role in facilitating the resizing, decluttering, staging, and relocation of our clients to their new residences.
My guiding principle is centered around completing tasks from start to finish.
"I firmly believe that no task is too challenging; there is always a solution waiting to be discovered. The key is to determine how to make it happen."

Moving Technician
For over a decade, I've been actively involved in the senior move management industry as a mover in Berks County. Beyond my professional life, my greatest joys revolve around my passions: cheering for New York sports teams (Let's go Giants!), indulging in fishing, and spending quality time with my beloved Pitbull, Shea, who has a heart of gold, and eagerly welcomes me home every day.
My connection to the senior community goes beyond the professional realm. Caring for my grandmother in the final seasons of her life left a profound impact on me. This personal experience emphasized the importance of slowing down and cherishing moments spent conversing with seniors. I carry this lesson with me as I approach my work in the senior move management field.
Joining Sterling Life Solutions is an exciting step for me. I'm drawn to their commitment to providing not just experience but also genuine compassion to the senior community. As I embark on this journey, I look forward to contributing my skills and understanding to create meaningful connections with seniors.
"Listening to seniors is like sitting in a library, except they have all the best stories—they are like living history books!"
