Maybe I’m one of the “weird” ones but I love moving. In the past 5 years, I’ve moved 4 times and with each move the excitement far outweighed the “burden”. I would see a new space and my creative mind would go on overdrive! How will my existing furniture align with the new space? What if any pieces can I repurpose and magically go from drab to fab? With each move there’s this massive purge of all that no longer serves one’s life. Be it home furnishings, old paperwork, outdated accessories, well, I think you get it. The list goes on and on!
Preparedness is obviously a huge part of enjoying the process and well let’s be honest, ultimately who’s going to be doing the heavy lifting is also a huge piece of the puzzle. I personally have family antiques dating back to the early 1900’s. My great grandmother’s jelly cupboard (yessss where she literally stored her homemade jams) has been with me since my first move out of my parents’ home. So too her china closet which most would have considered dated and would have sent to the auction block, well that too has been with me. Are some of these pieces cumbersome, of course, but if you get the right movers that need not be the case.
There’s a reason we’re called Sterling and the reasons I listed above of what’s important to me is exactly why you want to choose a Sterling mover.
Bon voyage, Carpe Diem, and all that good stuff…moving forward can be the beginning of a whole new adventure.
